The end is near and every contestant can feel it. I remember this stage well… and, if they’re like me, their reasons for being at Camp Biggest Loser will have changed. The things that drove them to make the humiliating decision to stand in front of Australia in their underwear, probably don’t drive them still.
Many months ago they took the risk, hoping they might finally have some success, that they might be able to look like a normal person, that they may be able to look in the mirror and smile. However, I doubt this motivates them now.
They’ve learned what food to eat and discovered their self control. They’ve learned how to exercise and discovered that the body is an amazing machine that just gets stronger. And, most of all, they’ve found the person inside that they’ve always wished to be.
So they’ve achieved what they set out to do and now they just desperately want to become a finalist… to be able to say, “I walked in at day one and made it to the very last day”. This moment is ever so close for all of them.
Amazing results
The contestants had amazing weight loss this week, especially considering the stage in the game. That is, all the contestants apart from David. My heart really went out to him last night. Like him or not, there is no denying this man has earned his right to be on stage as a finalist. He has been a weight-loss machine! However, falling below the line with the lightest girl in the competition may, unfortunately, be his ticket home. He is, without a doubt, the biggest threat in the game.
As for the Commando’s boys, they took to the scales and produced amazing numbers – a fitting finish for their final outback weigh in. What lies ahead of them? Who will be in the final four? It’s sure to be a tight and emotional final decision.
What I can predict is some amazing final results this year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some records broken and I’m going to repeat the prediction I made in first week of the show, I think we may see a girl take out the title.
And Joe, happy 21st birthday! What a way to spend it, even the Commando nearly smiled for you!
