It was no surprise that Sean was sent home last night. His fate was sealed months ago when the parent-child alliance was formed, but that didn’t stop me feeling sad that he left with a unanimous vote.
For me, last night’s Elimination was an example of the alliance taking itself a bit too seriously. We all knew Sean was going home; Sean knew he was going home, but it would have been nice if Julie had spared him one vote. For someone like Sean who is so full of heart, having the support of a friend all the way till the end would have meant a lot.
That said, I’m not sad for Sean because I don’t think he needs to be at the Camp anymore. I wouldn’t have said that last week but since New Zealand, which seems to have been very cathartic and therapeutic for him, I think he’s good to go.
It’s been beautiful to watch Sean grow while he’s been shrinking. He is one contestant who I think has truly ‘got it’ – physically, mentally, emotionally. He should be proud of all that he has accomplished and for becoming the person he has always wanted to be.
What I love about Sean’s journey is that it is not just him who will reap the benefits. He now has so much to teach his children, not just about a healthy body but about a healthy mind too. As parents we tell our kids that they can grow up and be anything, do anything but now Sean’s children have SEEN what their dad can accomplish and actions speak much larger than words.
Sean has learnt he can do absolutely everything and anything and that really is the gift of Loser. On top of that, he’s going home ‘dead sexy’ just as he promised! I can’t wait to see how he spruces up come Finale…
Not that we’ll have to wait that long as it appears that Sean along with the other eliminated contestants will be back tonight to fight for one of two places in the Finale. That’s got to mess with the Final Four’s heads! It’s also a reminder of what goes around comes around and that Julie, Cam, Tiff and Sammy will need to watch their backs.
Be sure to tune in tonight at 7PM to get details of the Super Challenge that’s set to turn the game on its head – AGAIN!
If you missed last night's show, you can watch the full episode at The Biggest Loser TV show website.
Below I’ve shared the segment where the returning contestants descend on the house – how amazing do they all look! I agree with Sharif: the Final Four should be afraid, very afraid. Their fight is not over yet!
