Weigh-in 5

Seeing is believing

The Biggest Loser Club Second Chance Team - the best of the rest!

Now that they're well into The Biggest Loser Club Second Chance Challenge the couples are starting to enjoy the rewards of their weight-loss success. Having shed a massive combined weight of 275.8kg, the contestants are now receiving compliments from friends, family and work colleagues and are reaching their own mini goals towards their final dream weight.

First weight-loss goal achieved

Strangers: Tanya and Conrad

Although Chris and Michael regained the title of Biggest Loser Couple, it was Tanya and Conrad who had the most to celebrate. Creeping in at second place with a total weight loss to date of 34.3kg, the duo achieved the important milestone of losing 10% of their body weight, which is proven to significantly reduce the risk of obesity-related conditions such as type 2 diabetes. Way to go Tanya and Conrad!

Despite taking a week’s holiday with friends this week, which would usually be full of alcohol and fast food, Tanya stuck to the convenient and portion-controlled Meal Replacement Program.

“I made sure I was organised and took plenty of Meal Replacement Shakes with me along with some salad, vegetables and fruit. The program is so easy to follow and stick to; it’s teaching me how I can lose weight and still have a great lifestyle, too!” she says.

Tanya also managed to maintain her exercise regime. “There was a pool, tennis courts and bikes at the holiday house so I had no excuse but to keep active. I really enjoyed all the activities and felt very proud by the end of the week.”

After a week away and another 3.2kg lighter, taking Tanya’s total weight loss to 16.1kg, the results started to show. “When I went back to work everyone noticed that I’d lost weight. It’s so encouraging and just makes me want to work harder. The Meal Replacement Program really is working for me.”

Weighing in 3kg less than the last weigh-in, Conrad too has been receiving compliments. “I had someone walk past me the other day, then turn around and say ‘Oh my gosh, I didn’t recognise you’. It felt so good.”

Conrad puts his success down to the great-tasting Meal Replacement Program and the variety it offers. “I thought I’d be bored with the food by now but I’m loving the choices in the Meal Replacement range. I have the Shakes for breakfast but it’s also great to have the option of a Soup at lunchtime.”

The convenience of the program has ensured that Conrad can keep his health a priority despite the ups and downs of life. “I’ve had some tough times in my personal life recently, but the Meal Replacement Program made it easy to stay on track and keep cutting the kilos.”

Conrad’s success has also encouraged a fellow work colleague to lose weight. “I’ve inspired someone to start The Biggest Loser Club Meal Replacement Program. All I’ve ever wanted to do is inspire at least one person!”

Reaping the rewards

At this stage of their weight-loss journey members of the Second Chance team are starting to hear praise and see the results of the easy-eating Biggest Loser Club Meal Replacement Program.

Alex Beggs, a road service consultant from NSW says, “I’ve received so much praise at work as my weight loss is starting to show. And it’s been so easy – I’ve just been replacing two meals a day with my favourite Biggest Loser Club Shake!”

One part of the brother duo, Michael Gaffney, has also been inundated with comments. “People have been saying, ‘I can’t believe how good you look’. It makes a nice change from being ridiculed!”

It’s not just the adults noticing the weight loss either. Jodie Weber’s eight-year-old son, Jordan, has also seen a change in his mum’s appearance. “He kept staring at me then said, ‘You used to have floppy bits hanging from your arms. Where has it gone?’ I couldn’t believe it,” says the mum-of-two.
