Going for goal

The Biggest Loser Club Second Chance Team - the best of the rest!

Setting goals has been key to the weight-loss success of the Second Chance Challenge team, and at this weigh-in many contestants achieved those goals and now, thanks to the help of The Biggest Loser Club Meal Replacement Program, their dreams are just around the corner.

Biggest Loser Couple

Strangers: Tanya and Conrad

Tanya and Conrad became The Biggest Loser couple at the seveneth weigh-in with a massive 11.7kg weight loss, taking their total combined weight loss to 55.3kg.

Conrad now has a new lady in his life and a new physique to show off. He says, “I first said ‘I like the person I am, just not the shell it is in’ but this is one shell that’s shrinking and the Meal Replacements make it so easy!”

Tanya says of her weight-loss succes, "I made an amazing effort this week. I am exercising lots and eating more than ever. I am really enjoying all the goodness that I am putting into my body."

Dreams in the making

It wasn't just Tanya and Conrad that were celebrating their success as many of the Second Chance team realised just how life-changing their journey is becoming.

Michael Gaffney joined this Challenge in order to shape up and be accepted into the army. Michael reveals, “My BMI is now only 0.7 away from the army’s requirement of 30. I have already been in contact with them to get the ball rolling. Plus I’ve reached my 20% weight-loss goal, all by following the Meal Replacement Program!”

This week Jodie Curran also achieved her personal milestone. “I dropped under 100kg for the first time this century! It’s exhilarating to be in double digits at 97.3kg.”

Jodie’s dream of landing a lead role with the Melbourne Opera is also close to becoming a reality. “I’ve been asked to understudy the main role. This could be the biggest opportunity I’ve had in my career and it’s all due to losing weight and looking and feeling healthier.”

Meanwhile Kate Smith is finding that she no longer needs plus-size clothes. “I put on my mum’s trousers without even looking at the label and they fit. They’re a size 14! Wow!”

Kellie Martin is losing weight in order to achieve her goal of competing in the outrigger canoe paddling world championship in Hawaii and she is using the Meal Replacement Program to ensure she gets there.

“I’m eating a lot more protein and fruit. I’m still really enjoying the Meal Replacement Shakes too. They make my day so much easier in between being a mum, working and exercising, as I don’t have to worry about what to put in my mouth next. They’re also high in protein which is helping me stay satisfied and keep up my exercise.”

Meanwhile, Kellie's sister Jodie Weber is dreaming of reaching Finale and winning the Second Chance Challenge. “I’ve ordered my Finale dress for motivation to lose my last required 5.5kg. I just hope it’s Kellie and I standing up there on the winner’s podium,” says Jodie.
