Update 10
Whoops! Didn’t find the time to enter my diary this week!
Update 9
Whoops! Didn’t find the time to enter my diary this week!
Update 8
We had a massive weekend with Craig and Jodie in Melbourne. The big event for all of us was climbing the 1000 Steps to the top of Mount Dandenong; it was an absolute blast! We got there and the weather didn't look too forgiving, but we decided that as we were there, we may as well do it.
Needless to say, it bucketed down as soon as we got out of the cars. We trudged up the path and were drenched from the get-go, but we did it and all of us got to the top in 25 minutes. Despite the inclement weather, we had a great weekend, which finished with a benefit concert when we got to see what Jodie does best; singing her lungs out beautifully!
Update 7
My mind is back in the right place this week and my body is feeling so good (no signs of the hamstring injury anymore). Worked hard, ate right and the results are coming in again! So stoked!
Update 6
I'm still recovering from our huge trip to Sydney, but it was such a great day! Was fab to catch up with everyone and see their progress!
I'm still battling with my strained hamstring and it has taken a massive toll on my physical capabilities, but I’m still going as strong as possible and trying to remain confident!
Update 5
I am having trouble finding time for everything and balancing my hectic lifestyle of late. I'm working two jobs, exercising flat out and in the middle of all this I am trying to eat properly, sleep and catch up with family and friends once in a while!
This week I realised that emotions can influence so many things. On Monday, I trained at the gym and was pretty flat; I really couldn't be bothered. I had a half hour workout and burned maybe 150 calories. On the Tuesday the love of my life, whom I had lost contact with texted me and gave me some great news. I trained that day and burned over 600 calories in a 55-minute session. I was quite pumped!
Update 4
The eating plan is going really well and I am thoroughly enjoying The Biggest Loser Club Meal Replacements; they’re all so convenient and yum!
Michael and I are looking into the calorie count of everything and we might even be contributing to the drought in our area as we are guzzling water like no tomorrow!
My life is getting back on track and in some kind of order now and I plan to be more punctual with weigh-ins and short stories (sorry, diary entries!).
Update 3
Whoops! Didn’t find the time to enter my diary this week...
Update 2
The last week has been really fun. My trainer gave me a regime of things I can do at home and they are really good. I've come to the realisation that exercise is really good and I have come to thoroughly enjoy it. After I left the Second Chance Challenge in Sydney, I gave up smoking and that has been great too. My breathing is so much better and my recovery and stamina are awesome (well, compared to what they were, anyway).
I am still finding the Meal Replacement Program really convenient. I love it! How easy is it? Just add water or open a packet...
To date Michael and I have lost around 6.5kg each and we’re still going strong. See you next week!
Update 1
With all the hype of the Sydney briefing out of the way, we had one final weekend with the boys at the pub. We got hammered and said goodbye to a few things and the result was a hangover on Sunday morning. I also used this weekend to sort out a plan of attack for the Biggest Loser Club Second Chance Team! No more indecent amounts of alcohol (at least for a while, until I get my new body), goodbye to smoking and hello to my new adventure.
I can’t say I was that keen to start using the Biggest Loser Club Meal Replacement product, but I pushed away all the negatives and started using them. Actually, I enjoyed them immensely. In fact, I am looking forward to my next helping!
Water has been my saviour! I have gone from drinking whatever and whenever – even so far as having a beer or rum after brekkie on my day off (I know it sounds bad, but that was the way it was!) – to drinking water like it's going out of fashion!
It is now the end of the first week and I have lost 3.5kg. As well as sticking with the eating plan, I am putting this weight loss down to the help of a good friend of mine who is helping me with my training plus my brother and team mate Michael for giving my motivation a big boost and for watching me like a hawk. So now things are getting easier and I'm really starting to enjoy this new lifestyle! See you in week two.
